Is golden about us?

 

If someone ask me what was the best song in 2025, I would probably say Golden. The song was produced for the movie - KPop demon hunters and the amazing synchronization of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Rei Ami made the songs to the top of the charts. The movie also become a hit because of this song. Even myself also watch the movie because of the song. 

 

The idea of the song about the how the demon hunter hunt the demon and protecting world while being music idols. But when I listen to the song, I felt like that song is talking about myself. These lyrics hits me hard.

 

"Given the throne, I didn't know how to believe
I was the queen that I'm meant to be
I lived two lives, tried to play both sides
But I couldn't find my own place"

 

"I'm done hidin', now I'm shinin' like I'm born to be
We dreamin' hard, we came so far, now I'll believe

I was  given a throne since the day I came to this world, but I did not know about it until I become young. Most of us including myself did not believe and avoid the feelings that shown us who really are. But actually I was a queen from the beginning. Because of the way people are seeing us, we had to live two lives. Tried to be the person that society expect us to be while secretly being myself. But you know at the this not who we really are. So I could not find my own place and it has being drained us including myself from the beginning until you think "That's enough". and stop hiding. That is where we going to change our life. As the song said, that's where we are going up and start to glow up. Not in the perspective of society. The way how you feel about yourself.

 

Actually, when I am enough of hiding, I sing this song loudly. I do not know why it is like a secret coming out for me and it feels very good.
